Your First Visit

Overview

Your first visit to our practice establishes a vital foundation for our relationship with you. During the first visit, we make sure to obtain important background information and give you time to get to know our staff. To understand what to expect from your first visit to our practice, please read through this page.

What to Bring to Your First Visit

In order to maximize the time during the consultation, please bring/complete the following items to your appointment:

  • Any referral letters and/or x-rays from the referring office.
  • A complete list of all medications you are currently taking.
  • Your dental and medical insurance cards, as well as a photo ID.
  • Complete and submit patient registration forms prior to your visit in our secure portal.

What to Expect at Your First Visit

Your initial visit will be a consultation with one of our doctors. This will include a clinical exam, a review of your medical history, and diagnostic x-rays, if not provided prior to your visit. This allows us to establish a problem-focused diagnosis and a plan of care.

In certain situations, surgery may be able to be performed on the same day as the consultation. Patients with complex medical histories or if you are interested in IV anesthesia, implants or bone grafting will need to have a consultation first.
